We were proud to be hosting a gathering in Dalmuir a welcoming and warm neighborhood from Clydebank with thanks to all at the Golden Friendships Community Hall who hosted us and fantastic volunteers. With the stylings of Sam Baird, Alex McKenzie’s dance along with Romane Cierhenia, The Newroz Ensemble, The Fat Scotsmen, and a group performance with Chief Chebe we couldn’t be prouder to bring together such a global stage.
To celebrate together the Edinburgh Fringe Society partnered to commemorate the 75th anniversary of the festival with its ethos “to give anyone a stage and everyone a seat”. Recreating the importance of creative freedom in performers from BAME communities in order to platform those who face barriers in the creative space.
We couldn’t go without mentioning the fantastic food matched only by the incredible hospitality from Safari Bites, or the goodies at the UpStyle pop-up where upcycled oven mittens, aprons, and more got reception.
Thanks to all who tirelessly worked to help bring it together
